Applied Network Solutions (ANS) is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) full-service technology company seeking talented professionals. We deliver advanced technology solutions and services for the DoD, IC, & Other Government entities, along with commercial customers designing, developing, deploying, operating and defending network-centric systems and cyber operations.

ANS has an immediate need for an Information Assurance Engineer supporting the NGA located in Springfield, VA.

INFORMATION ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Position Responsibilities: The Information Assurance (IA) Engineer will provide information security services in support of the Kalypso contract. As a member of the program's IA staff and under the direction of the IA Lead the individual will support activities to actively manage, track, execute, coordinate and report all tasks pertaining to the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of the CGES system to include the generation, delivery, and maintenance of the system security bodies of evidence as defined in the NGA Risk Management Framework (RMF).

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: 

  • Active CISSP
  • Experience with NGA Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation across multiple phases of a large program and enterprise.
  • Knowledgeable of NGA's Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and requirements, including the NGA Information Assurance Requirements Catalog (IARC).
  • Familiarity / Knowledge of NIST 800-53, source for IA security controls.
  • Experienced generating and maintaining ICD 503 Security Body of Evidence, in accordance with NGA policy, including: System Security Plan, required appendices, attachments, system test procedures, security control traceability matrices,  security assessment results, and POA&Ms.
  • Familiarity / Knowledge of Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), OS Security (Windows & Linux (RH), Firewalls, ArcSight ,Tripwire, Host Based System Security, Netwrix, and Network Intrusion Detection.
  • Ability to use ACAS
  • Experience performing & analyzing STIG scans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stay abreast of Cyber related issues and proactively address vulnerability issues.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

Security Clearance: MUST HAVE Top Secret Clearance with current SCI (TS/SCI) +, verifiable through JPAS a current investigation within the last five years.
